One of Ghana’s finest songwriters and music producer, Nacee, has tipped colleague gospel musician Joe Mettle, as capable of winning the grammys for the Ghanaian gospel fratenity.
According to him, Joe Mettle stands a better chance of winning the grammys base on his exposure and the kind of influence his music has made globally.
“Base on the criteria of selecting musicians for the grammy, I think Sonnie badu has done it before, and now my brother Joe is also doing it so for me I think if anyone can win it for the gospel side now, it is Joe” he said on Accra based Joy Prime.
Wading into the recent outburst of gospel Artiste Patience Nyarko, who has asked that Ghanaians stop praising Joe Mettle because he hasn’t done anything to merit such praise, Nacee said her attacks are uncalled for.
“Its about Christ, our first mission is to preach the gospel, if I preach the gospel and am blessed out of preaching the gospel, thank God….there is no need for us to fight among ourselves…”
The “Wafom Kwan” hitmaker has been at the wrong side of Internet trolls and gospel music lovers after she went on radio to say Joe Mettle isn’t the reigning gospel musician in Ghana.
Her comment attracted a lot of insults and trolling on social media
