The Founder and Leader of Glorious Word Power Ministry International, Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah, has said that contrary to claims that he wasn’t invited to the president Akufo Addo’s breakfast prayer meeting with the some men of God in the country, he was invited but was late for the program.
According to him, on the very day of the program, he had an important program to attend to which was why he wasn’t able to meet up with the president and the clergy on time.
Social media critics had mentioned that the famous man of God was not invited because the government needed highly anointed men of God to pray in unison for the country amidst the outbreak of the deadly coronavirus.
But speaking on Accra based TV3, Owusu Bempah said he had been with the president a day before the event and had received invitation to the program directly from the president.
“I was actually invited, I was with the President the previous day, he invited me but I told me I had another meeting to attend which was very important. But after my program I went to the Jubilee House but when I got there they had closed” he explained.
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo called for a meeting with the various heads of religious bodies to hold a prayer session at the Jubilee House in Accra on Thursday, March 19, 2020 amidst the growing cases of the deadly coronavirus in the country.
Present at the meeting included members of the Christian Council, Bishop Conference, Rev. Eastwood Anaba, Archbishop Duncan Williams, among others.
