Apostle Kofi Nkrumah Sarkodie has been arrested again by the Police in the Ashanti Region for organising church service again today, against the President’s order.
The head pastor of Open Arms Ministries was arrested last Wednesday for the same offence and was released upon plea from some persons.
But it does appear Pastor Sarkodie has no respect for authority so he treats President Akufo Addo’s ban on religious activities because of the novel coronavirus pandemic with a pinch of salt.
Last Sunday, President Akufo-Addo announced measures to ensure that the novel Coronavirus does not spread further in the country.
The government subsequently announced some travel restrictions, with the President further announcing a ban on all social gatherings, including churches, mosques and sporting activities.
The President also ordered an indefinite closure of educational institutions from today, Monday, March 16, 2020.
Meanwhile, the number of Coronavirus cases recorded in Ghana has risen to twenty-one within the last one week.
