Former deputy communications minister under the erstwhile John Mahama administration, Felix Kwakye Ofosu has pointed to three major interchanges currently under construction as legacies of former president John Mahama.
According to him, Ghanaians must not be deceived into thinking that because the construction began under the current regime, it is the initiative of the current government.
In an attempt to set the record straight, Mr Kwakye Ofosu said the Akufo Addo government “has virtually no significant capital project to show save for misplaced and poorly executed consumption policies that have created more problems than solutions”.
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, on Monday, 2nd December 2019, expressed satisfaction with the progress of work currently taking place on the Pokuase Interchange.
The contractor, Zhongmei Engineering Group Ltd indicated that 4 kilometres of asphalt dual carriageway have been completed for the Awoshie section of the project, with landscaping, street lighting, road signs, pedestrian facilities currently underway.
Also, 1 kilometre of asphalt single carriageway has been completed for the Kwabenya section of the project, with pedestrian facilities, and retaining wall constructions being undertaken.
