John Mahama flagbearer of the opposition NDC has indicated that the party’s 2020 manifesto which will contain their message to the voting population will be different from previous manifestos.
“This manifesto will be different. It will be a manifesto that will be the conclusion of a long, detailed and consultative process involving broad interactions with our people, incorporating their concerns, their hopes and their aspirations” the former president wrote on Facebook.
The party yesterday outdoored a 21-member manifesto committee at the party’s headquarters at Adabraka in Accra.
The move is in a bid to recapture power or wrestle power from the Akufo Addo government in 2020.
The committee will also hold discussions with other stakeholders such as labour movements, civil society organisations and important key players in the country’s economy in order to come out with a well-designed manifesto that will focus on alleviating people from poverty and other economic hardships.
Members of the committee were drawn from the various sectors, including academia, health, economy and youth empowerment.
The committee was inaugurated by the Chairman of the NDC, Mr Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo, in the presence of the party’s flag bearer, former President John Dramani Mahama.
